Hi , I 'm Spot, the Virtual
(not necessarily virtuous)
Dog here at System Of Life.

When you CLICK ON THE BIG FLOORPLAN BUTTON ON THE HOME PAGE AND USE THE FLOORPLAN, I may follow you around from room to room. If you see me in your travels, click on me to get my attention and I'll give you a quotation for your troubles.

I'm a hard-working Virtual Golden Retriever.(Retriever, get it? I RETRIEVE quotes . . . oh, you got it; sorry). I go out and dig up new quotes for you every hour. Once I've used a quote for an hour or so, you will probably never see it again. Like an old bone, I bury it in a my secret place and forget it.

Even though I'm just a (virtual) dog, some people have suggested that I do more than just dig up quotes at random. They have suggested that I dig up quotes or at least authors which are in some way appropriate to the room in which you find me.

When you visit the Institute in person, I'll greet you at the door, but I'm virtual, so you probably won't SEE much of me.

I know the name 'Spot' isn't the most original my owners could have come up with, but I'm happy with it. After all, they could have called me 'VD'.

Since you've been nice enough to read this far, I'm going to give you a quote I dug up on Friday at 5:50 AM, Pacific Time.
